When logging on to the website for RAP submission, the student will be required to do the following tasks on the OBU Submission Portal;

Step 1: Registration

You will need to go to the submission portal where you will need to create an account.

All submitted projects will be processed through the TURNITIN software. For more details on this, please visit http://www.brookes.ac.uk/virtual-gateway-for-staff/what-is-turnitin-/

Step 2: Submission

Once you have registered you need to upload your documents and submit your project. Once you have uploaded your documents and submitted your project, you are taken to the payment page (see step 3).

File size limits: The student needs to make sure that all the files they are planning to submit to OBU are less than 10MB in size. Also, the student needs to ensure that the Word document that has the answers to the SLS questions is less than 250Kb in size. The presentation slides need to be uploaded separately as a PowerPoint document.

• • The Research Report should be a Word document.
  • The Reference list should be a Word document.
  • Any financial statements can be uploaded as PDF documents in the Appendices.
  • While the presentation slides should be uploaded as a PowerPoint document, the rest of your SLS should be a Word document.
  • Any supporting spreadsheets MUST be uploaded as Excel documents in the Appendices.

Please include your student number in all the file names. For example: if your student number is 1234567 then you would label the Research Report file as 1234567RR; the Skills and Learning Statement file as 1234567SLS; the Reference List file as 1234567Refs; the spreadsheet file as 1234567excel; the PowerPoint file as 1234567presentation; the financial statements document as 1234567fs; for appendices 1234567appendices; and if you were resubmitting then document will be label as 1234567resubmission.

[Please note that students cannot submit zip files.]

Step 3 Payment

You are required to pay a submission fee to Oxford Brookes University. The fee is £495. Details can be found on the OBU website or Information Pack 2023-24.

Once you have submitted your project you will have the opportunity to proceed to payment. Please follow the instructions carefully.

It is not necessary to pay at the point of your submission however the University will not award any students their degree if there are outstanding fees owed. You can return to the submission portal and make a payment at any time within the submission period.

If you do not have access to a credit or debit card, please send a cheque or banker’s draft for £495 sterling payable to “Oxford Brookes University”(with your name and ACCA number on the back) to:

If the student has any difficulties with the proposed online payment system or is unable to pay via this manner, then the student needs to contact the OBU via the following address: acca@brookes.ac.uk. Any RAP that will be submitted without a submission fee will not be marked.
